Recent Performances

Scene 9 from my opera, Ishi, was performed “in concert”  by the San Francisco Composers Chamber Orchestra on May 4, 2019 in San Francisco.  Robert Vann performed as Ishi, and bass, Kirk Eichelberger, sang Dr. Kroeber’s role. John Kendall Bailey conducted.  In this scene, the last of the first act, Ishi and Dr. Kroeber are walking together in Golden Gate Park. Ishi picks up a leaf and sings an aria about his Mother and the challenging journey he has made.  Here is a video of the performance:

My choir composition, Fiat Lux, was performed by the Serenade choir directed by Dr. Bryan Baker on Saturday, June 9, 2018, 8:00 p.m. at St. Mark’s Church in Palo Alto. Here is a recording of the performance.

RECENT PERFORMANCE,  Elegy for Solo Cello, on a NACUSAsf concert on Feb. 11, 2018 at Good Shepherd Episcopal Church, Belmont, CA.  I was very pleased by Doug Machiz’  beautiful performance of my composition.

RECENT PERFORMANCE, here is a video of Amy Foote, soprano, performing my composition, Sometimes It’s Quiet in the Woods.  Also performing are Elaine Ubando, violin, Ben Snellings, cello and Libby Kardontchik, piano.  The concert took place on November 12, 2017 in Belmont, California.

     RECENT PERFORMANCE, the outstanding Ives Collective, performed my composition Luminosity, for piano trio on June 3, 2017 at the Lucie Stern Ballroom in Palo Alto, California. Luminosity focuses on different aspects of natural light. A video of movements 1 and 2 of this performance may be viewed at:
